301 south is a prettier drive, and you will avoid any traffic jams on this holiday weekend. However there are stoplights all the way. 95 south is more direct, but you can hit traffic around DC and Richmond. Just try to plan the route so that you don't hit them at bad times. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=s&utm_campaign=en&utm_source=en-ha-na-us-bk-gm&utm_medium=ha&utm_term=google%20maps

take the lightrail into bwi then take a cab or you can always just take the train from penn station to dc its not that expensive.heck id drive better yet take greyhoumd they usually do this on the cheap.
2 :
take the marc train, I think you can pick it up by the light rail stop by camden yards, so if you are downtown already, you can walk to the Marc
3 :
Save the hassle and take a cab or drive. The MARC trains don't run on the weekends, and Amtrak and Greyhound cost more than the half-tank of gas.

The best/easiest way would be Amtrak, which goes from Penn Station in Baltimore and goes to Union Station in Washington. The cost should be $15 or so and takes about 45 minutes. (Don't bother with the Acela high speed trains - they only save you about 10 minutes and cost nearly twice as much). Both train stations are in the downtown part of each city and connect to other local transit as well. There are several trains a day. Greyhound bus has even more frequent service than Amtrak. It costs only a couple dollars less, and takes about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes or so (depending on if there is a stop along the way). The major drawback is that the station in Washington is less convenient than Union Station. (Actually the same goes for Baltimore. Plus the bus stations are more sketchy than the train stations, and Amtrak is more pleasant in general). In any case, these options are going to probably be your best bet.

It depends what "class" vehicle you are driving in, and what route you are taking. I suggest going to the website of the route you want to take (yes there are such things if you look hard enough). For instance if you want to take I-95 all the way. You could also try the dept. of transportation sites for the state you need to go through. This site might help some. Good luck!

Well, if you don't want to take Greyhound, your only other option appears to be Amtrak. If you're willing to leave at 12:45 AM next Saturday, the one-way fare can be as low as $69, but other times run as high as $213. It's a 4 to 6 hour trip, depending on which train you take. There are more options at the $69 fare if you don't take your trip until after the Thanksgiving holiday.

i would say greyhound is cheaper and better

Greyhound is almost definitely cheaper, but it won't take you to Penn Station. Buses go to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, which is 8 blocks away from Penn Station.
3 :
Greyhound should run you $45 per person while Amtrak around $90 per person. Travel safe, Steve http://411newyork.org
