It depends what "class" vehicle you are driving in, and what route you are taking. I suggest going to the website of the route you want to take (yes there are such things if you look hard enough). For instance if you want to take I-95 all the way. You could also try the dept. of transportation sites for the state you need to go through. This site might help some. Good luck!

Well, if you don't want to take Greyhound, your only other option appears to be Amtrak. If you're willing to leave at 12:45 AM next Saturday, the one-way fare can be as low as $69, but other times run as high as $213. It's a 4 to 6 hour trip, depending on which train you take. There are more options at the $69 fare if you don't take your trip until after the Thanksgiving holiday.

i would say greyhound is cheaper and better
2 :
Greyhound is almost definitely cheaper, but it won't take you to Penn Station. Buses go to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, which is 8 blocks away from Penn Station.
3 :
Greyhound should run you $45 per person while Amtrak around $90 per person. Travel safe, Steve http://411newyork.org

For a round trip ticket (leaving on a sunday) returning two weeks later it would be $733 dollars on Continental Airlines. For a one-way ticket that price drops to $716

Hi James. They've got the ticket info about right. Of course the price is according to supply and demand and right now it is tourist season, but not high tourist season. A three star hotel in the El Cangrejo neighborhood of Panama City with breakfast included will cost you less than $45 a night. In this location you will be close to many good inexpensive restaurants usually with a very inexpensive lunch special at around $4.50 a plate (10% is the standard tip). Close to casinos, main road, lots of hustle and bustle. El Cangrejo is one of the main business/ tourist districts. A Cab will cost you no more that $3 to go from one end of the city to another, the rates are set by sector and not meter. If you have Spanish the buses are a quarter.... no transfers; one bus, one ride, one quarter. One tip on the taxi, walk a block or more away from the front of you hotel to get a taxi or they will peg you for a tourist and try to charge you more than the going rate. Ask the hotels for an idea of the rates to move around the city, and then NEVER ask the driver how much just give him the correct amount. Never try to get change the driver will conveniently not have it. I would buy a bundle of dollars to take with me this will make you life a lot easier while here. So if you are frugal with your hotel choice and eat lunch specials, you can easily see the city for less than $100 a day, hotel included. HereĆ¢€™s a link to a spreadsheet with hotel price in Panama City http://www.panamalaw.org/panama_hotels.html I've written a fun article about driving practices in general here you might find entertaining. http://www.panamaexpertos.com/forum/driving-in-panama-ct149.html Maybe it will give you a small glimpse of Panama. Hope you get to come, I know if you do youĆ¢€™ll have a great time. Panama

About Where should we visit/stop if we travel by car from Baltimore MD to Nashville TN

Where should we visit/stop if we travel by car from Baltimore MD to Nashville TN?
We are planning on taking a road trip from Baltimore MD to Nashville next month. Does anyone have any recommendations on places to visit or site see? We want this to be a leisurely drive to take in the sites and visit cool places. Also, what is there cool to do in the Nashville area? Thanks!

You could stop at Luray Caverns in Virginia. Monticello is very pretty too.

There are lots of things to do in Nashville. I'm going to assume you're into country music? You could visit the Country Music Hall of Fame (I'm pretty sure it's open again since the floods). You can go down broadway and find a lot to do. Go down to the riverfront, I think they have these duck tours you can take that allow you to go out on the Cumberland River that runs through Nashville, but I myself have not done it. As for restaurants I would check out the Blue Bird Cafe its really popular I've heard. As for malls Opry Mills is closed cause of flood damage but there is Green Hills Mall, Rivergate Mall, and if you take 65 down to Franklin you have Cool Springs Mall. Sorry I couldn't answer the first part of your question but I hope you enjoy Nashville! Here's a link you might want to check out--http://www.visitmusiccity.com/visitors/index

Take the Blue Ridge Parkway at least part of the way, and stop at the points of interest along it. It is very pretty and relaxing. Mainly, just stay off the interstates and you will see the real sights, little shops, mom-and-pop restaurants, wildlife, etc.
